The Svecom-PE 714 AD Mechanical Axial Expanding Chuck is designed for unwinding and rewinding applications that require precise core centering and reliable gripping. It is particularly suitable for demanding operations involving heavy reels, high operating speeds, and high torque requirements.
The chuck body and expanding elements, available as lugs or leaves depending on the application, can be supplied in steel or with a rubber-covered surface to suit specific operating needs. The mounting flange is custom-designed to meet the requirements of each machine and installation.
The expansion mechanism is activated mechanically by the machine’s movable arms, which engage the expanding elements to secure the core. When the machine arms open, integrated return springs retract the lugs or leaves, allowing the core to be released efficiently.
