The Svecom-PE 716 PK Pneumatic Expanding Chuck is designed for unwinding and rewinding applications that require secure and reliable core gripping.
The chuck body is typically manufactured from steel, while the expanding lugs are available in hardened steel, aluminium, or rubber-coated versions. The choice of material depends on the core type and the torque transmission requirements of the application.
For versatile installation, the 716 PK can be supplied with a side flange for mounting on unwind stands with mobile arms or with a through-bore design for installation on passing bars. It can also feature a stepped configuration to accommodate different core sizes.
The expansion mechanism operates through a rubber tyre positioned beneath the lugs. When compressed air is introduced, the tyre expands and applies pressure to engage the lugs against the core, ensuring a firm grip during unwinding and rewinding operations.
