Pneumechanical Self-Expanding Chucks With Leaves

Mod. 714 MZ-A

The Svecom-PE 714 MZ-A Pneumechanical Self-Expanding Chuck is designed for winding and unwinding applications that demand precise core centering and secure gripping. It is particularly suitable for heavy-duty operations involving high loads, elevated operating speeds, and high torque requirements, especially when handling steel cores.

The chuck body and expanding leaves are manufactured entirely from steel, providing strength and durability for demanding industrial applications. Available with customized flange or shaft extension mounting configurations, the 714 MZ-A can be tailored to meet specific installation requirements.

The expansion mechanism operates through one or more air-actuated pistons that mechanically engage the expanding leaves. An optional spring-activated mechanism helps maintain a secure grip on the core, even in the event of air pressure loss.

A key advantage of this model is Svecom-PE’s exclusive self-expanding system, which responds to web tension. Working in combination with the pneumatic-mechanical mechanism, it further expands the leaves to enhance core gripping stability, even under demanding conditions such as sudden emergency stops at high operating speeds.

Combining robust steel construction, precise centering, and an additional self-expanding mechanism, the Svecom-PE 714 MZ-A provides reliable core gripping and enhanced operational safety for heavy-duty winding and unwinding applications.
