Pneumatic Expanding Shafts With Leaves

The 639 PS Pneumatic Expanding Shaft with Leaves is designed for unwinding and rewinding rolls, with or without cores. It is also suitable for multi-slit applications, including the handling of very narrow web widths.
The shaft body is manufactured from steel, while the expanding leaves are available in steel or rubber-coated options, depending on the core material and required torque. The journal ends are custom-made from various steel grades to meet specific application requirements.
The expansion mechanism operates through a single inflatable tube that applies pressure to engage the expanding elements when compressed air is supplied. To improve durability, the shaft is equipped with a specially designed tube protector that significantly reduces wear and minimizes the risk of air leakage.
For models equipped with journals larger than 50 mm in diameter, the SVECOM quick-change air tube system is available. This feature allows the inflatable tube to be replaced without removing the shaft from the roll or machine, simplifying maintenance and reducing downtime.
