The 640 PQL POPE Pneumatic Expanding Shaft with Self-Centering Ledges is designed for continuous processing machines, ensuring precise and uniform material winding at high peripheral speeds while withstanding heavy load stresses.
The shaft incorporates SVECOM’s proven pneumatic system, featuring groups of air chambers equipped with aluminum centering ledges and rubber gripping elements. It is dynamically balanced to meet the required operating speed and supplied with supports and towing couplings. Shaft diameters and lengths can be customized according to the specified application requirements.
The shaft is available with two pneumatic valve configurations. The multi-valve system provides an independent valve for each air chamber, allowing the remaining chambers to stay inflated if one chamber is damaged. Alternatively, the single-valve system connects the air chambers through internal passages, ensuring uniform air distribution and consistent expansion across the shaft.
